Reasonable dream cars

TAUNUS 17M

FORD CONSUL

FORD Consul

The FORD CONSUL was the successor of the TAUNUS models 17M, 20M and 26M. With a V4 engine with 1.7 liters, a 4 cylinder inline engine with 2.0 liters or the V6 eingines with 2.3, 2.6 or 3.0 liters it could really move. It was built from 1972 to 1975. Here's the fabulous fastback version.

FORD GRANADA

FORD Granada

The FORD GRANADA was nearly the same design as the CONSUL. It had a more luxurious interor trim but it did not have a that beautiful radiator grille. Besides, it was only available with the V6 engines. It also was built from 1972 to 1975. The fastback version simply is mind-blowing.

FORD MUSTANG

FORD Mustang

Actually, the FORD MUSTANG was my dream car. But when I was in America and I saw SO MANY MUSTANGS, that I decided that a MUSTANG must have something special, such as a works-orange 1967'er MUSTANG that has started to go slightly moudly. Unfortunately I didn't take a photo. Therefore I show you this photo of a 1966 MUSTANG which Mrs. Geneva Jahnke won in the Icelandic Fish Co. competition.

GAZ WOLGA M 24

In 1955 the russian factory for commercial vehicles and private cars GAZ in Gorki (Gorkowskij Automobilnji Zavod, Gorki) introduced a car that had the name WOLGA for the first time, previously trucks and american Ford cars were built. The M 24 WOLGA was the successor of the M 20 Pobieda (=Victory!). In 1968 it was equipped with a new face and a 2.5 liter 70 HP four cylinder inline engine and it was the most popular russian middle class car untill the mid-eighties. The most beautiful WOLGA M 24 was the model that was built from 1968 to 1981, although in 1982 only few changes were made.

SKODA 110 R(allye)

I fell in love with this since 1970 in Czechoslovakia built car sometime between 1990 to 1992 in Budweis. It stood there in its full plainness and in lemmon-yellow hue. This at least 70 HP producing car with a rear engine was the fastback sports version of the SKODA 110 L. I don't have any photos yet but you can view some rally photos on Pat's SKODA Homepage.

REANAULT 15

I can't tell much about this car yet, except that it was built in the mid seventies and looked madnessly good. It was the most sporting Renault, was mostly driven in France and was somehow replaced by the RENAULT FUEGO later on. I also don't have any photos yet but you can view photos and get information on the Club Renault 15/17 Suède Homepage.
